Did you know that not all fragrances smell the same on all people? Fragrances have different reactions on each of us. This is why you should never purchase a fragrance just because you like the way it smells on a friend. The fragrance might not have the exact same scent when you try it on. I have always wondered.. when you go to the store and see the latest fragrance that just came out by some actor.. do you pick it up and try it because of her or the name of it? Have you tried some that makes you wonder.. how the hell does this sell? (thinking Tabo why does anyone wear that stuff?)
So I did some looking into what it takes to make perfume as well as what should happen while you are wearing it.
You have put on a pretty fragrance you saw in the store and are now walking around a bit to see how it reacts to you.Well don’t be surprised if a fragrance seems to change with a few hours of wear. Or even just a few minutes. This is normal. All fragrances have three notes (or phases) that they go through during a single wear. It might smell different at the end of the day than it did in the morning. Here is some basic information about fragrances that is the same for each kind cheap or over-priced.
Each fragrance has top, middle and base notes.
The top notes are what you smell when you put the fragrance on. This period usually lasts for about five to ten minutes. The top notes provide freshness and are often comprised of lighter notes.
The middle notes, which are also called the body notes, tell the story of the fragrance.
As the fragrance begins to warm on your skin, the true scent comes to life. The body notes will combine with top notes to expose the fragrance’s warmth and distinctiveness.
The base notes are the final expression of a fragrance. They are the memory of the top and body notes. Base notes will surface after three to six hours of wear. They are the lasting staying power of the fragrance. Wood, moss and musk scents are common base notes.
Do you like heavy scents, what does that say about you? Or do you like fruit like perfumes? Light and airy? In choosing a perfume first off decide why you are going to wear it. I wear Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel as my “you can’t afford me perfume.”(everyone needs a perfume like that..honestly ladies don’t you feel that way sometimes?) As well as makes me feel a little sexier that day when I do wear it.
I wear Intuition and Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder for work and as a gift from my husband the heaviest scent I own and will wear is Allure Sensuelle by Chanel I have very none cheap tastes in perfume but thats just me.. I think I was picked by my perfumes do to my personality and why I wear it. Will I change? Sure nothing worse than seeing someone who never changes up their perfume..not because they can’t its just they are too lazy to find something new.
Do your self a favor and have at least 3 different types of perfume to wear. And ladies you don’t need to ONE wait for some man to buy you one and TWO yes you wear whatever you enjoy…he don’t like it well thats his problem not yours right?
Do stop by Overallbeauty.com and see if you can get her to start selling perfume.. oh yeah thats me huh?
lol have a great week!
